“We will start scoring more goals soon” – Keshi

Stephen Keshi has said that the Super Eagles will start scoring more goals very soon. The national team coach, also insisted that he was happy with the team he selected for the FIFA Confederations Cup, even they did not perform too well.

“The good thing about this team is that the attacking players are all coming back now,” Keshi said on Channels TV.

“The good thing about this team is that we create chances but if they were not creating chances I will get worried.

“Yes we are not scoring at the moment but we are creating chances against teams like Spain, Uruguay, so the team is almost there.”

With Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike coming back into the team, Keshi expects cutting edge in attack.

He said: “We are having almost all the players coming back now and hopefully very soon, we will start converting our chances.”

Nigeria will face South Africa in the Nelson Mandela Challenge in August, before their final 2014 World Cup qualifier against Malawi in September.
