Head coach of Abia Warriors, Kennedy Boboye, has vowed that his team will bounce back, after they lost 1-0 to Warri Wolves. The defeat ended their 10-match unbeaten run in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

King Osanga scored the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute, despite Warriors dominating most of the match.

“We put up a gallant fight here (Warri) but narrowly lost. This is not the end of the road for us. We will go back home, correct our mistakes and bounce back to winning ways,” Boboye told reporters after the game.

Abia Warriors’ unbeaten run equals that set by Enyimba last season and they remain second on the table with 20 points from 11 matches.
