Rivers United coach, Stanley Eguma, has insisted that they are still in the hunt for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.

The Port Harcourt team beat Shooting Stars 2-0 at home last weekend.

They are now third on the table with 44 points, two behind leaders Enugu Rangers.

“We have a very good chance of winning the league,” Eguma, who led Dolphins to win the league five years ago, said.

“We won’t give up until the league is over.

“The league is at the home stretch and it is now more difficult to win whether at home or away.

“We will keep working hard to get it right.”

Rivers United travel to Sunshine Stars in their next fixture on Sunday.
