We’re gradually winning war against terror – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, declared that his government would not relent on its effort until the war against terrorism is won.

Jonathan gave this assurance at the 14th meeting of the Honorary International Investor Council, HIIC, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to him, with the declaration of state of emergency in the North Eastern states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, things would soon come under control.

President Jonathan, however lauded the people of the affected states since the emergency rule was declared for their support and cooperation.

He observed that what Nigerians have been witnessing, in the last few years, had nothing to do with religion, but activities of internationally backed terror groups, determined to destabilise the nation.

President Jonathan assured that his administration would continue to guarantee safety of lives, property and investments.
