Stephen Keshi has hailed the Super Eagles 1-0 victory over the Harambee Stars of Kenya, as an important result in their race to qualify for the FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil
“This was an important win for us because Kenya are a good side and they were playing at home,” he said after the match.
“It certainly gives us a great advantage now that Malawi and Namibia drew on Wednesday as well.”
Keshi also urged his players not to celebrate yet, as there are still two games to be played and revealed that his boys wer cautious in Nairobi.
“After the match we had in Calabar, we knew Kenya are a dangerous side and it was important that we start cautiously and try and beat them on counter-attack. I am glad it worked,” he added.
