We have overcome our past shocks – Rangers coach, Amapakabo

Head coach of Enugu Rangers, Imama Amapakabo, has said the team have recovered from their poor form and are ready to get positive results in the league.

The Flying Antelopes beat Wikki Tourists 2-0 in Wednesday’s Match Day 27 fixture at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

Rangers travel to Heartland this Sunday and Amapakabo has charged his players to build on their victory.

“I believe the players have finally overcome the initial past shocks over the Federation Cup exit as well as the follow up poor results in the league,” he told SuperSport.

“We are back to winning ways with the superb performance against Wikki Tourists.

“The hard fought victory will serve as confidence building and great motivation in our subsequent matches in the league especially the oriental clash at Heartland on Sunday in Owerri.

“We are quite positive to get something positive in the clash expected to be difficult considering the fact that the opponents lost the first fixture clash in Enugu.

“However, we are determined to profit maximally from the fresh air to further secure decent result that will help our rating on the league log.”

Rangers are currently 12th on the table with 37 points.
