We finally got Pogba – Mourinho confirms world-record transfer

Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho, has confirmed that Paul Pogba is close to signing for the club.

The club had issued a statement before their Community Shield win over Leicester City, that the France midfielder had been given permission to undergo a medical by Juventus.

And after the game, Mourinho told reporters that a deal was as good as done.

“Finally, we have him. He comes to a winning side,” he said.

Mourinho also added that he expects the medical to be a formality.

“I have seen him running, basketball, he does everything, so he must be fit. I will be waiting on Tuesday,” he concluded.

Sky sources claim tthe fee for Pogba, will be around €105m – £89m – £3m more than Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale and therefore a new world record.
