National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has stated that the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, does not constitute any source of concern to his party, which he said is yet to “have time for the PDP”.
Apparently referring to the opposition party’s accusations that the APC was clamping down on its members, following the Department of State Services, DSS’ invasion on the homes of former National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki (retd), the APC National Chairman said Dasuki was a public officer and not PDP member.
“We don’t have time for the PDP yet. We are busy now to put our government on the ground and start responding to the yearnings of the Nigerian people. PDP has not put itself together yet. They are no source of concern to anybody. Dasuki was a public officer. He was not a PDP member,” he said.
Oyegun, who spoke while addressing newsmen on Tuesday, dispelled rumours that some ministerial nominees failed corruption test which they were subjected to by security agencies.
He revealed that the ministers to be appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari will be a mixture of politicians and technocrats.
