We don’t expect Super Eagles players to complain about slashed bonuses – NFF

Spokeman of the Nigeria Football Federation executive committee, Emeka Inyama, has stated that the football body does not expect any negative reactions from players of the super Eagles, after their match bonuses was slashed by 50%.

The NFF, who are currently battling financial issues, took the austerity measures this month and also sacked some backroom staff.

“I don’t see the players revolting. Players do not fix their bonus anywhere in the world, it is the job of the Federation,” Inyama said.

“You would recall that we have been paying bonuses as at when due. It was because of the presidential committee (for the 2010 World Cup) that took the bonus to $10,000.

“The federation have always paid $5,000 after taking care of flight return tickets, daily allowances and accommodation. The $5,000 is ideal.”
