Ikechukwu Ibenegbu has insisted that his team, Warri Wolves, will not lose for the second time to Enugu Rangers this season.
The Seasiders lost 1-0 to Rangers in Warri – the only defeat they have suffered on home turf this current campaign.
Wolves travel to Enugu this Sunday in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 33 clash and Ibenegbu made it clear they cannot afford to lose twice.
“We cannot afford to lose again to Rangers after an early 0-1 home loss in Warri – the only dent on our record in the season,” he told SuperSport.
“I won’t say we are going to Enugu for revenge at Rangers but for the three points at stake.
“Three points at Enugu Rangers will put us on solid footing to challenge for the league title.
“This is our year to claim the league title and we are going about it with full force.
“The clash at Enugu Rangers is crucial on our path to be champions and we are giving it our very best.
“We strongly believe that God will reward our hard work with our first ever league title.”
Warri Wolves are second on the NPFL table with 55 points, three behind leaders-Enyimba.
