We believe Ekweremadu can lead Nigeria – PDP

The Ahmed Makarfi led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its belief in the leadership qualities of Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, who turned 55 years old on Friday.

In a statement signed and issued by the Publicity Secretary of its National Caretaker Committee – Dayo Adeyeye, the PDP described Ekweremadu as one its pillars who is committed to rebuilding the Party and moving it to greater Heights.

While urging him to continue with his service to humanity, the party wished Ekweremadu good health, long life and fruitful years ahead.

The statement reads: “The Senator Ahmed Makarfi led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on behalf of the entire Organs and supporters of the Party nationwide heartily congratulate Senator Ike Ekweremadu, the Deputy Senate President on the occasion of his 55th Birthday Anniversary Celebration.

“We are indeed proud of his achievements as one of the pillars of the PDP, working with all the stakeholders to revive, rejuvenate and move the Party to greater heights. We believe in his leadership qualities and urge him to continue with his services to humanity.

“Senator Ekweremadu was born on the 12th of May, 1962 in Amachara Mkpu, Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State. As a Senator of the Federal Republic since 2003 till date, Senator Ekweremadu has made outstanding contributions to the development of the legislature and the country. He is a fighter for good causes.

“We wish him good health, long life and more years of fruitful service to our fatherland.

“Once again, Congratulations to Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu.”
