We are still deliberating on consensus candidacy – Kwankwaso

Kano State governor, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has confirmed that presidential aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress are still deliberating on the possibility of presenting a consensus candidate for the 2015 presidential election or go for primaries.

Kwankwaso disclosed this yesterday in Kebbi, Kebbi State. He was in the state to woo APC delegates ahead of the December presidential primaries of the party.

He said, “We are considering who to be allowed to champion the ticket of the presidential seat. We are still discussing; but if eventually we do not reach any agreement, we will all go for the primaries. “

On the possibility that the outcome of the primaries may cause disaffection in the party, Kwankwaso said: “We are very strong and that is why we belong to APC. I believe there will be no problem because we are mature enough not to allow any misunderstanding to rise among us. We will all support the person that emerges”.

Kwankwaso arrived Kebbi shortly after former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar left the state.
