The newly inaugurated Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbadibo Local Government, Hon. Williams Etuka has called on the people of the area to remain steadfast with the party and turn out enmasse to vote for the candidate of the party in the next week rerun election, Senator David Mark.
Hon. Etuka gave this charge on Thursday during the interface with Accord party, APC and PDP stakeholders of the 9 LGAs who converged at Otukpo, at the instance of Young Alhaji.
The party Chairman who hails from the same council ward with the APC candidate for the rerun senatorial election said the PDP is now refined as the bad eggs have given way to the younger generation who are the engine room for the party.
“We are now a refined PDP, the bad eggs are gone. The ‘stomach infrastructure’ politicians were responsible for the calamity that befell the party in the last election. Thank God they are gone and we can now restrategise and take our destinies in our own hands “, the party Chairman said.
Earlier in his address of welcome, former Senatorial Candidate of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and ACN deputy Governorship candidate for the 2011 election, Alhaji Usman Abubakar ( a.k.a. Young Alhaji ) said there was no going back on Senator Mark as his reelection was nonnegotiable.
In their separate remarks, PDP Secretary in Ogbadibo Local Government, Hon. Gabriel Igah, Women Leader, Hon. Ada Ojile and the Youth Leader, Hon. Sunday Anyebe spoke glowingly about Senator David Mark and pledged to work to defeat the APC candidate in his own local government, Ogbadibo in the next week rerun election.
