We are in full support of Onyeama’s nomination as Minister – Enugu APC

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Enugu State Chapter yesterday says contrary to allegations in certain quarters, it’s in full support of the nomination of Geaffery Onyeama as a minister from the state.

Leadership of the party in the state has dispelled the insinuation just as the country awaits the Wednesday swearing-in of the Ministers.

The party further described as “mischievous” media reports which suggested that the party was in disarray in the state as a result of Onyeama’s nomination, insisting that the stories were the handiwork of some selfish individuals, who claimed to be APC chieftains in the state.

State Chairman of the APC in the state, Ben Nwoye while speaking with journalists at the party’s secretariat said such people do not believe in the progress, growth, and supremacy of the party.

“What they are after is only their personal pockets. I want to tell you that those peddling such unfounded rumours are not true members of our great party, they are cash and carry politicians who have nothing to offer to the development of APC,” Nwoye said.

He called on the public to disregard the, “purported reports, because Enugu APC was 100 per cent solidly behind the nomination of the minister designate by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We are very pleased and satisfied with the choice of our minister designate from Enugu state,” Nwoye maintained.

Nwoye affirmed, “It is the first time a Nigerian president is picking his Ministers based on qualification and merit, and we in Enugu APC, are most grateful to him for that act”

The State Chairman stated that the Enugu minister-designate has a very intimidating credentials that would enable him contribute to the development of the entire nation, as well as drive the change agenda of the APC.

Nwoye further stated that nominating ministers with skills, intellectual capacity, character, and sound qualification such as Onyeama, remains one of the best things that has ever happened to the Nigerian nation.
