The Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, has warned president of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, to watch his words in public.
Dalung made the comments, when he met with Pinnick, to discuss the Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
“The minister is a no-nonsense person; he simply told Pinnick to watch his public utterances, saying he appears to react to everything and everybody and it appears he does not have a spokesperson, who ought to be doing the talking on his behalf,” an official informed AfricanFootball.com
“The minister says the frequent utterances by the NFF president have worked against his image and the way he is perceived by the public”, the source added.
It would be recalled that Pinnick had a verbal showdown with Chris Giwa, when Dalung attempted to reconcile the two NFF factions.
