With three days to the by-election for the Warri South Constituency I Seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State is parading two factional candidates for the election slated for Wednesday, April 2016.

The two candidates, Prince Stanley Emiko and Mr. Demi Ejegi emerged from separate primaries, led by Chief Ayiri Emami and the Chief Adolo Okotie-Eboh’s factions.

The Chief Ayirimi Emami faction held its primaries at Obodo Village with the help of Prophet Jones Erue, former State Chairman who was ousted by the High Court.

The leaders of the two factions are pointing accusing fingers and throwing stones at each other.

Loyalists of the Chief Adolo-Okotie-Eboh also rooted for Mr. Demi Ejegi at separate primary conducted a day after the Chief Ayiri Emami faction produced Prince Emiko as its candidate.

The APC House of Assembly Candidate in the 2015 election, Mr. Robinson Ariyo Esq had lamented that the party was going through “constitutional crisis” and as such may not field any candidate for the by- election.

Ariyo had also called on the national body of the APC to dissociate itself from the Prophet Jones Erue’s Exco.

Ariyo threatened to drag the party to court if all pleas were not heeded.
