The Ward head of Yargaya village in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area of Kano state, Alhaji Saje Sani and six others have been arrested by the Kano State Police Command over the alleged rape of a 13-year- old girl.
Other allegedly involved in the rape are Garba Usaini aka Sadauki – 68 years, Magaji Ahmed aka Begi, 50, Umar Yusif, 38,Yakubu Abdullahi aka Alhaji, 28, Habibu Isa, 30, Yahaya Ibrahim, 30, all of Dawakin Kudu LGA of Kano State.
The spokesperson for the command, DSP Magaji Majiya said the suspects committed the alleged offence on separate occasions which left the 13-year-old girl pregnant.
He disclosed this while parading the suspects before newsmen in Kano on Tuesday, July 11.
According to him, medical report shows the teenage girl is seven months pregnant.
Majiya also said the suspects would be charged to court on completion of investigation.
