A married woman, identified as Adeko Monisola, who is the alleged leader of a notorious lesbian syndicate in Lagos State, has been arrested.
Monisola and her gang member, Ogunwale Idowu Abiola, were reportedly declared wanted by the Police in Lagos State over their alleged involvement in criminal activities, including lesbianism.
Daily Sun learnt that while Abiola is still on the run, Monisola has been arrested in Rivers State.
According to reports, the suspects were committing the act in Monisola’s husband, Alhaji Osilo’s house in the Magodo area of the state.
DAILY POST contacted the state Police Command spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, as at the time of filing this report, but she is yet to respond to a text message sent to her phone, however, reports say Monisola was apprehended at the weekend in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, where she had been hiding.
A police source privy to the incident was quoted by the newspaper to have said, “It is true, the illicit act of lesbianism against Ogunwale Idowu Abiola and her mate Adeko Monisola was reported to us and we have commenced investigation into the alleged act of lesbianism by the two women.
“We have identified the women and we will soon apprehend the second one.
“You know that the act is against the law of our land, we must enforce the law,” the source said.
According to him, the suspect, Monisola, has made useful confession, but denied knowledge of the whereabouts of her accomplice as she claimed they lost contact, alleging that she had since relocated to either North America or Europe.
Alhaji Osilo, when contacted, said “Yes, my neighbours opened the can of warm that Abiola has been doing the ungodly act with my wife in my house anytime I was away.
“I could not stomach such evil that was why I reported the matter to the police.”
Abiola’s husband, Abiodun Kelani also reportedly said, “I don’t know what the police are saying. My wife is not in the country at the moment .Let the police do their job and let me be.”
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Police image maker, DSP Omoni Nnamdi, told our correspondent the said woman was arrested in the state after she purportedly absconded from Lagos State.
Asked if the allegations against her were true, he declined comments, saying the matter was under investigation.
