England forward, Theo Walcott is back from injury and ready for Arsenal’s Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round match against Southampton.
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger said the forward could be involved against his former club Southampton on Saturday in the Gunners’ FA Cup fourth round match.
The 27-year-old sustained a calf strain since late December but has returned to full training ahead of the clash.
Arsenal’s injury worries are becoming less following Danny Welbeck’s second half introduction last weekend.
Wenger told reporters on Thursday, “Walcott is back in the squad. Xhaka will be suspended and Elneny is at the African Cup of Nations.
“Per Mertesacker and Mathieu Debuchy are back in full training tomorrow.”
The French gaffer added that the door is open for want-away right-back Debuchy to leave the club this month due to lack of playing time at the Premier League club.
He added, “It is quiet but I say I don’t close the door [on Debuchy leaving] because there is competition on the right flank.
“I don’t close the door, he is fully fit now to possibly have an experience now.”
