Walcott, Cazorla sign new Arsenal deals

Arsenal’s duo of Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla, have signed new contracts with the club.

Walcott, who was already in the final year of his previous deal, has put pen to paper on an improved contract, which will see him earn £140,000 a week.

30-year-old Cazorla was also linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, but has now committed his future to the Gunners, by signing a two-year deal.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger told the club’s official website: “We’re delighted to have extended the contracts of Santi and Theo. Both are top quality players who are hugely important and influential to our squad.

“As well as their huge contributions on the pitch, they both have a great deal of experience and are very popular off the pitch. We’re very pleased with them both signing contract extensions, as it provides our squad with further stability of quality.”

The news comes as a big boost, as they prepare to face Chelsea on Sunday in the Community Shield, ahead of the new Premier Leagues season.
