Some of the candidates that sat for this year’s West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE), are yet to check their results more than 48 hours after they were released.
This might not be unconnected to the massive traffic to WAEC’s official website, www.waecdirect.org.
During peak periods, the message displayed reads “This service is unavailable”.
According to Dikachi Osuji who wrote the exam in Lagos, even when he was able to access the site, he got another error message.
“Every time I have tried to check it since Wednesday, it is always showing server error,” Osuji told DAILY POST on Friday.
“I don’t know if it is from my centre, because someone else who wrote in the school has not seen his results too.”
DAILY POST’s attempts to reach the examination body on Friday proved futile.
However, candidates having issues checking their results perhaps due to error messages, can resolve the problem by sending an email to the site administrator.
According to information on the website, candidates need to send the following details to waecsupport@fleettechltd.com for verification and assistance:
1. Error message displayed 2. Your examination number 3. Type of Exam 4. Year of Exam.
