Gov Idris Wada
Some members of the Kogi PDP Elders have asked the party’s National Chairman Bamanga Tukur to call the State governor Idris Wada to order over his alleged laxity towards governance.
The team led by Senator Alex Kadiri, also included Senator Mohammed Ohiare and a former aide to former vice president Atiku Abubakar, Dr Adinoyi Ojo Onukaba. They met with Tukur at his office in Abuja. Kadiri said: “We want the national leadership of our great party to intervene decisively to save the PDP in Kogi State from an untimely death.” “Mr. Chairman, all is not well in Kogi State. Our party has been hijacked by strangers. There is no governance in the state. State funds are being used to settle judges and anti-corruption agencies. Not even a single culvert has been constructed by the nearly one year old Wada administration”, he added.
The team listed some of the issues affecting the development in the state as; the State House of Assembly crisis, the appointment of Liaison Officers for local councils, looting of state treasury by the duo of former Gov. Ibrahim Idris and current Gov Wada, and the undemocratic conduct of state congress last weekend.
