Victor Moses resumed light training, while Emmanuel Emenike, sat out training for the second consecutive day on Friday.
The officials of the Super Eagles revealed this to reporters, while insisting that he was still on track to play on Sunday.
“He has gone for a scan and he will be fit for the final,” the team’s spokesman Ben Alaiya said.
However, Moses trained alone with a physiotherapist keeping a close eye on him.
Both players had picked up knocks in the 4-1 win over Mali in the semi-final.
Moses and Emenike are Nigeria‘s highest scorers with six goals between them – the Chelsea forward has two, while Emenike has found the net four times.
