Vice President’s media aide loses wife

Mallam Umar Sani, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Vice President Namadi Sambo, has lost his wife, Hajiya Sahura Umar.

A statement issued in Abuja by Sani’s Personal Assistant, Alhaji Bashir Bello, said the deceased died at a hospital in Cairo, Egypt, after a protracted illness.

It stated that until her death, she was a student of school of Nursing and Midwifery, Kaduna.

Hajiya Sahura, aged 32, was described as a devoted Muslim and a community leader who will be missed by her peers.

The statement said that the deceased left behind her husband, four children and her aged parents, adding that the deceased would be buried according to Islamic rites in Kaduna as soon as her corpse arrives on Friday.
