Former Arsenal star, Martin Keown has given manager, Unai Emery, the list of starting XI to use against Valencia when both sides clash in the Europa League semi-final second leg tie next week Thursday at Mestalla.
Keown wants Emery to use the same XI that finished the first leg against Valencia when the two teams clash in the second leg next week.
The ex-defender said this following Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Valencia in the Europa League semi-final first leg tie on Thursday at Emirates Stadium.
A brace from Alexandre Lacazette and a strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, gave Unai Emery’s men all three points against Valencia at the Emirates.
“That third goal is so important,” Keown said on BT Sport.
“Valencia, in fairness, I thought they were trying to settle for 2-1 and it’s backfired on them big time.
“Still, of course, Arsenal have got some work to do in this tie. Those two front players have to play.
“Already now he’s turning to look at the selection. The 11 that finished that game should start the next one.
“I actually thought it was better than maybe the team that started. Take nothing away from Ozil and his performance early on.
“But you’re going away now to a very difficult away game. That planning has to start now.”
