UTME candidates writing exams
Candidates sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) will henceforth get their results two hours after leaving the examination hall.
Already, over about 97,000 candidates who sat for the exams recently have seen their scores.
Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB), Prof Dibu Ojerinde, on Wednesday told newsmen during a supervision exercise that the scores were sent to the mobile phones of the candidates.
He noted that the development serves as a boost for the 100% Computer Based Test exams.
For candidates who are at disadvantaged areas and can hardly operate the computer, Ojerinde said “CBT has taken two years to advance and can only get better in subsequent years”.
“Don’t forget that once the candidates operate their phones, they can as well be able to operate the computer.”
