A United States (US) based lady has accused Timaya, Nigeria’s ‘Dem Mama’ crooner, of rape.
The unidentified lady took to Instagram and shared chats between her and a person she claims is Timaya.
She also shared voice recordings from their phone conversations.
Timaya’s voice however, was said to have been confirmed as that which was recorded but at no point did he directly own up to raping her; though he was pleading for the lady’s forgiveness.
The lady’s Instagram handle has this message posted at 8:52 pm, on Friday, July 24th, 2015:
“SO THAT I MAKE IT CLEAR YES I AM A VICTIM OF SEXUAL ASSAULT, BUT I HAVE A HEART. AND THE ONLY REASON TIMAYA WAS ABLE TO LEAVE ATLANTA IS BECAUSE OF THOSE TWO INNOCENT KIDS HE HAS! SO THAT WE ARE FUCKING CLEAR!”
From all indications and the chat evidence gathered, there has been some form of communication between the anonymous lady and the Nigerian music artiste.
Timaya’s manager, Prinz, has however threatened the lady, accusing her of recording Timaya’s voice illegally.
