France is through to the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.
Didier Deschamps beat Uruguay 2-0 in their quarter-final clash in Friday’s early kick-off, to book their spot in the last four.
Raphael Varane opened scoring for France in the first half, heading in Antoine Griezmann’s cross five minutes before the break.
Griezmann himself doubled their lead, after his shot was fumbled over the line by Fernando Muslera in the second half.
It is the first time they have reached this stage since 2006 and they will now face Brazil or Belgium on July 10.
