Urhobo Progress Union donates items worth millions of Naira to DELSU

Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, of Northern California, USA, on Monday donated computer accessories worth millions of Naira to the Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, Delta state.

The donated items which is a major boost to the Computer Science Laboratory and Medical/ Chemistry/Surgical Laboratory of the institution includes; 41 Dell desk top computers; 38 PC monitors; one HP 2100 laser printer; two HP 1100 laser printers; one HP 6L laser printer; one compact J300 desk printer and scanner; one 4500 HP printer; one HP 4600 printer; six Dell flat screen and 32 PC keyboards.

Also 21 boxes of petri dishes/20 bags; six conical flasks Pyrex; one box of rubber stoppers; one 400ml beaker; two 600ml beakers; one 250ml beaker; two 100ml beakers; three drain vials with stoppers; one Laparoscopy surgical unit; 15 otoscopes; one Leica surgical microscope; one micro-centrifuge tube; one HP 895 desk printer; 21 Dell laptops and printer toners (HP) brothers among others were donated.

Presenting the items to the Vice Chancellor on behalf of the institution, the immediate past President of the UPU, Northern California, USA, Emmanuel Ntekume said, “We are here to donate to DELSU to help our people back home.”

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eric Arubayi, expressed gratitude to the donors for their kind gesture, assuring that the items would be put to good use.
