The police has confirmed six persons dead in the Wednesday, December 10, blast at Kano textile market.
The casualties included two female suicide bombers and four other persons.
A specialist at the Muritala Mohammed where victims were taken to also told Premium Times that seven people also sustained degrees of injuries.
Briefing journalists at the scene of the attack, Kano Police Commissioner, Aderele Shinaba, said that the bombers arrived at the market pretending to be ordinary buyers.
Explaining how it all happened, the police boss said the bombers reportedly went behind Access Bank and asked for water to ease themselves in one of the toilets.
However when denied water, argument ensued with the sellers, which attracted people to the scene.
As the crowd gathered, the attackers detonated the explosives.
