Unknown gunmen kill, woman, son in Delta community

It was tragedy in Ayakoromo community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State as Unknown gunmen believed to be sea pirates shot dead a forty eight year old woman, Anetorufa Mokor and her son, Timi Enai(29)in fishing camp along Egolegbene Creeks on Tuesday evening at about 10pm.

DAILY POST gathered that the woman and her son were preparing to embark on fishing expedition when the incident occurred.

It was gathered that the gunmen rained bullets all over the bodies of the woman and her son and ensured they were dead before they drove away in a double 200 horsepower engine speed boat.

The President, Ijaw People Development Initiative, IPDI Austin Ozobo confirmed the report describing same as, ” callous.”

Ozobo who is a leader in the community called on relevant security agencies, particularly the Department of State Security to investigate the matter and bring the culprits to justice.

“It’s a very sad incident I must tell you, and we are calling on security agencies to investigate and bring whoever is involved to book.”
