The Management of the University of Ibadan, Oyo state has slated Monday, January 7, 2013, for the commencement of the 2012/2013 academic session for students of the institution.

This was disclosed during a meeting between the institution’s Management led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Isaac Adewole, the Students’ Union executives, led by Comrade Edosa Raymond Ekhator and other stakeholders.

Other issues discussed in the meeting was the purported move by the university to increase students’ accommodation fee on resumption from N14,000 per bed space.

DailyPost gathered that after a thorough deliberation between the school’s Management, student’s representative and stakeholders, the VC, Prof. Adewole, gave five criteria if students’ accommodation fee must remain at #14,000 per bed space, which was massively rejected by Students’ Union executives.
