United interested in signing Ronaldo – Van Gaal

Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal, has admitted that the club is keen to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

The Portuguese has been consistently linked with a move away from Spain, with United and Paris Saint-Germain as possible destinations.

It is understood that ideally, Ronaldo would prefer an Old Trafford return.

And Van Gaal has said he will be welcomed back.

He told reporters: “Ronaldo plays on the wings and he is fast and scores goals.

“There is no trainer in the world that doesn’t like him.

“Of course, we are looking – but we are looking at all players, not just Ronaldo. But these players are mostly ungettable.
