Unimplemented agreements: Resident Doctors alerts six Governors

Resident Doctors have called on 6 states’ governors to implement the agreements reached between Doctors, the Federal and state Governments.

The National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD made the call at a media briefing in Port Harcourt.

National President of NARD, Dan Jumbo at the briefing said members of the association were still suffering in states like Lagos, Abia, Osun Oyo, Benue and Plateau states

NARD further called on the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health to honour all agreements reached with the Federal Government through the Ministry.

“Failure of implementation and unilateral beach of agreement reached with the Federal Government on the issues will not be taken lightly.

“All institutions that have strike actions should continue until injustice is corrected.

“The apparent bold of the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Mr. Silas, NARD still maintains that he and his Director of Public Services should honour agreement reached,” Jumbo said.
