Unidentified persons have reportedly embarked on buying of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) from voters in Kogi State.
According to sources, some persons claiming to be state government officials are collecting the PVCs from women with mouth watering promises ahead of the November 21 election.
DAILY POST learnt that few women have surrender their PVCs.
Some residents in Lokoja complained that suspicious persons had approached them to surrender their PVCs in exchange for empowerment and monetary inducements.
It was gathered that market women, who were displaced at the popular “Kpata”market vehemently resisted the overtures.
However, none of the political parties has accepted involvement in the illegal act.
