Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has insisted that he won’t remove Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as their number one penalty taker.
Aubameyang squandered the chance to give the Gunners a dramatic North London derby win over Tottenham on Saturday, when his weak effort was saved by Hugo Lloris in the 90th minute.
Arsenal were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at Wembley.
The result saw Emery’s side slip out of the Premier League top four, after Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Southampton later in the day.
But Emery insists he still has faith in his penalty taker and is confident he will make amends the next time.
“I was positive before and I’m positive today.
“If he’s going to shoot a penalty again I have very big confidence he can score,” Emery said ahead of their Europa League clash with Rennes in France on Thursday.
