Umahi releases commissioners nominees’ list to Ebonyi Assembly for screening

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi, on Tuesday, announced the release of his first batch of his commissioner’s nominee list to the State House of Assembly and the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, for proper screenings.

Umahi made this known through a memo forwarded to Ebonyi state House of Assembly, EBSHA and made available to DAILY POST in Abakaliki, state capital.

The nominees are expected to appear before the State House of Assembly for screening and possible confirmation.

The nominees include; Chief Barr. Samuel Okoronkwo, Hon. Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji; Hon. Barr. Emmanuel I. Nwobo, Hon. Barr. Mrs. Elizabeth Ogbaga, Dr. Sunday Zijl Nwangele, Chief Moses Ogodoali Nome, Engr. Ogbonnaya Obasi Abara.

Others are Dr. Daniel Akuma Umezurike, Mrs. Deborah Chinwe Okah, Prof. Ogbonnaya Chukwu, Hon. Stanley Okoro Emegha, Chief Oluchukwu Ukie Ezeali, Engr. Fidelis Kings Nweze, Mrs. Rebecca Nwamaka Ogbuewu, Hon. Emmanuel Uguru and Hon. Charles Akpuenika.

The nominees are required to submit their Curriculum Vitae, photocopies of their relevant credentials and tax clearance certificates with evidence of payments of their property taxes, in 30 file copies, to the office of the Clerk of the House not later than Monday 22nd July, 2019.

Investigation, revealed that the nominees will equally be screened by Christian Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi state chapter to determine whether if they are involved in cultism or not.

However, Tuesday 23rd, 30th July and 13th August 2019 was scheduled for the screening.
