Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has included Cristiano Ronaldo in their squad for Tuesday’s UEFA Super Cup clash against his former club, Manchester United in Skopje.
The Portugal captain only returned to training last weekend, after he was granted an extended break following his participation in this year’s Confederations Cup in Russia.
However, he has been included in Madrid’s travelling party for the game.
The 24-man squad also includes senior stars Gareth Bale, Sergio Ramos and Toni Kroos, as well as teenage right-back, Achraf Hakimi and the coach’s son Luca as third-choice goalkeeper.
On their return, Madrid will face rivals Barcelona in Spanish Super Cup games at the Camp Nou on Sunday, August 13 and the Bernabeu on Wednesday August 16.
Their La Liga opening fixture is at Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday, August 20.
