UEFA has expressed its “deep shock and sadness”, following the Paris attacks on Friday, that left more than 120 people dead.

There were series of explosions in the French capital, in what appeared to be co-ordinated acts of terrorism.

The Stade de France, where the national team were taking on Germany in a friendly game was targeted and a blast was heard outside the stadium.

In a statement released on Saturday, Europe’s governing body said: “Uefa is deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic events which occurred in Paris last night and wishes to express its support and solidarity to France and to those affected by these horrible acts.”
