Udoma sympathises with Channels TV over Onuekwusi’s death

The Budget and National Planning Minister, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma has expressed his deep grief over the death of Channels TV State House Correspondent, Mr Chukwuma Onuekwusi, who died at a private hospital in Abuja on Tuesday.

In a statement signed by the minister’s media adviser, Akpandem James the Minister noted that it must be a very sad and distressful moment for the management and staff of Channels TV and Chukwuma’s operational constituency, the State House Press Corps.

He recalled that Chukwuma was an embodiment of the Channel’s TV reportorial character, with a clear and bold voice on contemporary issues.

“Listening to his interventions and questions during the post NEC and FEC press briefings with the State House Press Corps was always a delight. He was always deep, profound and lucid at all times on issues he was passionate about”, the Minister recalled.

According to him, Chukwuma had clarity of thought and courage of conviction which was sometimes laced with a candid sense of humour.

While expressing his sympathies to the Management and staff of Channels TV and the State House Press Corps over the loss, he prayed that the Almighty comforts the family and grants them the fortitude to go through this very sad moment.
