Mfon Udoh has expressed his delight to be back among the goals after he scored the winner as Enyimba defeated local rivals Abia Warriors 1-0 on Sunday.
It was the striker’s first goal for the Aba team, since he scored a brace against Sharks on Match Day 4.
Udoh says he is happy that he helped his side get all three points, which has put them one point away from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.
“I’m happy to score an important goal for my club and it put us on the threshold of history,” he told completesportsnigeria.com.
“I have worked hard to stay fit and I’m happy to have finally ended my goal drought.
“We are close to winning the title, hopefully I will score more goals before the end of the season.”
Udoh scored 23 goals for Enyimba last season, the highest by any individual in a single season in the Glo Premier League.
