Nigeria’s U-23 team will play at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, after they beat hosts Senegal 1-0, in the semi-final of the 2015 Africa U-23 Championship.

Although it was Etebo Oghenekaro’s penalty in the 75th minute that sealed victory, the Dream Team VI will be grateful to goalkeeper Daniel, who pulled off some great saves to deny the Senegalese.

Samson Siasia’s men squandered early chances to take the lead, but the entire complexion of the match changed, after Ousseynou Thioune handled the ball in the area.

The referee sent the defender off and pointed to the spot.

Nigeria will now take on the winners of the second semi-final between South Africa and Algeria, for the final match on Saturday.
