Residents of Ibafo in Obafemi Owode area of Ogun State were thrown into mourning when a two year old girl was burnt to death after fire gutted a residential building.
It was gathered that the building went up in flame after a petrol stored in one of the apartments caught fire.
The fire which started in the night of the said day, burnt down the entire building while the occupants were said to have run out for safety.
According to an eyewitness, some of the occupants of the house sell illegal fuel popularly called “Black Market”.
The source said, “A woman lost her two-year-old daughter to the inferno. Government must do something about people who sell and keep fuel illegally in their homes.”
Some of the occupants had lamented the unfortunate incident while decrying that they have no place to stay at the moment.
