Two Urhobo youths, whose names were given as: Happy Kazi and one Prince, were at about 2pm on Monday abducted when some armed youths stormed Warri river in Aladja Community in Delta state.
DAILY POST reports that the attack is causing serious tension within the area as some Aladja residents especially women and children are seen packing out for fear of being attacked.
It was gathered that the armed youths acted as a reprisal attacks on Aladja Community to avenge the death of an Ogbe-Ijoh indigene, Bebetu, who was allegedly beheaded with his body dumped behind the Warri South-West council over the weekend.
An indigene of Aladja Community, Comrade Ighoteguolor Bezi raised the alarm on behalf of Happy Kazi and Prince who are indigenes of Okwagbe in Ughelli South and Ughelli Maintown in Ughelli North Local Government Areas respectively.
Bezi, while speaking with our correspondent, said, “Ogbe-Ijoh youths just abducted two Urhobo youths along Warri River,” as he called on the relevant security agencies to swing into action and save the lives of the missing persons.
The Divisional Police Officer of Ovwian/ Aladja Police Divisional Headquarters, CSP Dike Albert Uchechi did not pick calls put across to his mobile phone line, but a police source, who craved anonymity, disclosed that the matter has been reported but that the police is yet to ascertain the true position of the incident.
