Two officers reportedly killed as gunmen attack police station in Benue community

Two police officers are said to have been killed and others injured after gunmen attacked a police station in Igumale area of Ado LGA of Benue State.

DAILY POST gathered that the heavily armed gunmen, who were riding on motorcycle, stormed the area on Sunday afternoon and opened fire on officers on duty.

An eyewitness told our reporter that two officers died on the spot while the gunmen escaped.

When DAILY POST contacted the Benue State police spokesman, Moses Yamu, he said his men were on their way from the place and would keep our reporter posted.
