DAILY POST reports that the robbers, numbering up to seven, had snatched five tricycles (Keke Napep) from the owners around Emebiren street in the area.

The irate mob however caught two of them and set them ablaze.

A resident of the area, who identified himself simply as Otolo, said “luck ran out on them whilst they tried to abscond with the already stolen kekes”.

Speaking in Pigeon English, the resident said; “Hold up cramp them for front naim de guys for area plus the keke owners wey pick race follow them.

“The boys com arrange the thieves with petrol and tire,” the source told our reporter.

It was gathered that while two of them were apprehended, the others abandoned the stolen tricycles and scampered for safety.
