Some social media users have lambasted Senate President, Bukola Saraki, for saying he cracked jokes last night on the phone with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari had been on a 10-day vacation in the United Kingdom, UK but his stay was extended indefinitely due to ‘health issues.
While his current health status is yet to be revealed, it has generated a lot of controversies across the country, with some saying he ‘may be dead.’
On Thursday morning, Saraki tweeted @bukolasaraki that he spoke with President Buhari last night and they both joked.
His tweet came days after the President’s aide on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, admitted that they don’t have direct access to his principal.
Some Nigerians on Twitter have, however, faulted Saraki’s tweet, saying he ‘lied’.
A Twitter user @doyinmojisola wrote: “Can you at least tweet voice recording of your conversation with the President? We are tired of these games.”
@viktor_osinachi: “Did he say when he is coming home?”
@jessy-dumebi: “You know most of us are frustrated, tired of these lies. It’s a thing of shame and very heartbreaking that we will be deceived to this extent. They just think Nigerians are fools.”
@kelly01: “Hell fire go full ooo. Hear another lie.”
