The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has expressed confidence that his party will win the elections in the state by a wide margin.

Okowa, whose confidence was further bolstered by the massive crowd that thronged Oghara, Ethiope Local Government Area, Delta State, yesterday for the flag-off of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship campaign, promised to always look up to God as the election approaches,

He called on members of the party to forget about division and work collectively as reconciled faithful to ensure a landslide victory at the polls, adding, “I will treat everybody equally.”

Okowa also appealed to Deltans to turn their back on the opposition parties in the state and their confused candidates, who, according to him, keep changing their platforms every voting year and keep faith with the winning party, PDP, which has been delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.

He said: “We will develop agriculture in such a way that Deltans will be happy. We will ensure accelerated industrialisation of the state. Governor Uduaghan started the Warri Industrial Business Park, WIBP, we will ensure that core investors are brought in. We will partner the private sector to establish two other industrial parks to develop the state.

“We will restructure the educational sector for the people to acquire skills and be gainfully employed; we will continue to emphasize quality education. Uduaghan has done well in the medical sector. Women are happy because they do not pay for their children under five years too. We will ensure, through legislation, that there will be a health insurance policy in Delta State and that way, everybody will benefit.”
