This according to Jega was after series of meetings with political parties, civil society groups and other relevant stakeholders.

Jega said that security agencies’ report showed that security for the elections had not be perfected and would take some time.

TUC President, Bobboi Kaigama told NAN that the entire scenario from INEC was the right step in the right direction.

“We will advice strongly that the security forces stand on their commitment to support the new dates.

“But after six weeks, another unexpected problem should not come up, if that happens, then their credibility will be put to question, ‘’he said.
