The United States President, Donald Trump has pointed out that Americans do not want people from other countries trooping into the U.S, stressing that immigrants must come in through the legal process.
He further stated that his administration wants a situation where only the most qualified gets to make it into America, asserting that, “We must always arrest people coming into our country illegally.”
He stated this while defending his administration’s “zero tolerance” policy towards immigration in an interaction with the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
The U.S President said, “We don’t want people pouring into our country. We want them to come in through the process, through the legal system. And we want, ultimately, a merit-based system where people come in based on merit.”
